Our Calling: Honoring Heroes Through Craft

For over 30 years, we’ve helped families and departments recognize the kind of service that becomes legacy. Founded by a firefighter, our products are more than gifts, they’re heirlooms of bravery, built to be remembered, passed down, and never forgotten.

OUR STORY

In 1949, a five-year-old named Jerry Heater sat atop a fire engine in Sublimity, Oregon, and found his purpose. That spark ignited a lifetime of service: from answering fire calls as a teen to serving as Battalion Chief, fire science instructor, and national fire association leader.

In 1982, Jerry and his wife Colleen launched Cruise Master, first crafting optical prisms for forestry. When the timber industry changed, Jerry followed his heart and built a new business honoring his fellow first responders with handcrafted recognition pieces.

Meet Susan thomas – Owner

Susan grew up playing in the office cupboards and taking naps under the counter. As she got older, her play turned into purpose. She began by assembling trophies, carefully fitting bases and figures together. Soon, she graduated to tracing letters on the pantograph engraving machine.

We treat every project as a personal mission: to honor those who give everything for others. With every plaque, coin, or shield, you’re not just giving a gift, you’re preserving a story of service that deserves to be remembered.
